On Tuesday night I had to go to the
Capitol Theatre in beautiful downtown Moncton. It was for the "Tribute to Elvis - Aloha from Hawaii, 35th Anniversary Show. " No, I did not purchase a ticket for the event - Elvis (
Thane Dunn) had scheduled to have a representive from the Canadian Cancer Society at each of his shows in the province of New Brunswick. We had a table set up in the lobby and took donations. "Elvis" announced that we were there and said he would make a thousand dollar donation himself. We received over $500 in donations on top of that. "Elvis" stopped into the office yesterday with his check for $1,000 and wanted to find out about being a spokesperson for CCS. Even Elvis has been affected by cancer.
